The weather in Chicago has been so whack! We had some gorgeous days there for a bit, and now today it’s rainy and 45 degrees out. We’ve made the most of the gloom though and were somewhat productive. We worked out (for those of you who don’t already know, I’m obsessed with OrangeTheory), made some yummy banana chocolate chip waffles (à la Ambitious Kitchen), cuddled and watched tv, and took a trip to Ulta where Zach decided he’s a huge fan of undereye cream lol.
I recently purchased my first duster, and I’m in love. I wore it here with coated black denim & white slides, but I think it will also look great (once it warms up again) with denim shorts or even worn as a dress/cover up. Versatility is key!
I also love the movement & flow of a duster. Just be sure it doesn’t get stuck in a car door or get wet in a toilet – not that I’m speaking from experience.
The duster is featured here in the gorgeous area of Eastern Market, with my sisters crop top. If I’m being 100% honest I got super self-conscious in the crop top. I hadn’t tried it on before and definitely didn’t realize it would be so….cropped. My original idea was to wear it with a band t-shirt (i.e. my sister Hannah’s cropped Led Zeppelin shirt since I’m not cool enough to own one, yet). Unfortunately said band tee was in Richmond, so the cropped top made its debut appearance.
Notice the duster is now buttoned…it was a short but memorable debut. Always gotta feel comfortable in my own skin 😉
Hope all you kiddos out there celebrate your mommas this weekend, and hope all you mommas out there feel extra love!
