Spring Striped Blouse in DC

A few weeks ago, I went back to the homeland in Northern Virginia. It was my first trip home since Christmas! That may not be long for some people, but man did it feel good! The cherry on top of my visit was that it was the first weekend that actually felt like spring! We did a little bit of all of my favorite things. Saturday I kicked off the weekend with a refreshing run outside. Then I spent the sunshine hours with my mom and sister at the local Flower & Garden show in downtown Leesburg. We ate, drank, and soaked up all the sunshine that we could! Closing my eyes and feeling the sun on my skin is one of my absolute favorite things. I can hear myself making weird noises and saying how good it feels just thinking about it 🙂 Then we went to dinner & a movie as a fam, and I stuffed myself with Twix and popcorn.

Sunday I was able to catch up with friends for brunch at Isabella Eatery in Tysons Galleria. They were super excited to bring me there, and I can see why! It was so yummy and you could pick from what felt like 10 different concept menus all in one place! And the decor was a dream!

Then I was able to hop on over to DC to catch up with Tori and snap some photos. We went to Union Market to start our little adventure. If you haven’t been and you’re in the DC area, I definitely recommend it! First off it’s literally a piece of history (read more on their website!), and now it’s such a neat gathering spot with an awesome outdoor space. They have it all – cute shops, fun places to eat & drink, a warehouse event space, a film theater, and of course a fun heart mural that also is a great reminder to NEVER GIVE UP!

Top (here and here) // Sandals (sold out similar here and here) // Bamboo Bag

only Victoria Heer Photography can get these kind of smiles out of me

Time at home always seems to go by so quickly.  But no matter what I’m doing, as long as I’m with friends and family, it’s time well spent and it keeps me content until the next time around.

I love the keyhole cutout on this top! And how blousy, feminine, and flattering it is!

I’m so dang sad these earrings are sold out (found them on Poshmark here), but JCrew has been killing the jewelry game lately. I got these for $6 and I can’t get over it! Been wearing them a lot already to spice up my spring outfits.

I hope you all enjoyed the bamboo bag giveaway! I know I did 🙂 I’m so excited to pick and share the winner tomorrow! Don’t worry, if you don’t win I’ve linked the bag in this post!
