What’s Not to Love About Overalls?

Madewell Overalls (similar budget friendly version here) // Hat // Ann Taylor Top Sold Out (similar here) // Shoes

Overalls are my jam. I’ve been a supporter since I came out of the womb (thanks Mom & Dad). OshKosh B’gosh or bust, so they say.

There’s really not a pair of overalls I don’t like. Short-alls, boyfriend overalls, distressed overalls, skinny overalls, the dress version, all the denim washes…you name it, I love it.

These Madewell overalls are certainly no exception. At the time, they were the first skinny overalls I had ever seen (and then ever worn). They hold true to the fun-childish reason why I love overalls, but with a flattering, fashion-forward spin. They are form fitting, but so stretchy and comfortable. It kind of feels like wearing a denim pajama set, and I really just love any clothing items that trick me into thinking I’m a kid and/or I’m in pajamas. In our engagement photos, I paired them with a feminine white top with ruffle details, but they are also fun to wear with a striped tee or bandana around the neck if you’re going for a more casual look.

I’m ready to bust out the spring clothes but it’s still freezing cold in Chicago, so instead I’m working on a box of Girl Scout Cookies and watching Criminal Minds in bed. Tonight we are off to watch our friend perform in his first comedy show and I’m so excited! Happy Sunday!
